After-school educational experience requested for 2-3 elementary school students.
Ideal candidate will be able to
- pick children up from the school
- oversee homework at a local house
- do one educational activity (e.g., Math, Science, Music, or Spanish).
If hired, you must commit to being with the children from 2:30pm (when school gets out) to 6pm for 2 to 5 days per week. First applicants will have their choice of days. Atlanta school begins January 4, but you can start after January 9.
You would be responsible for 2 to 3 students in first and second grade (6-8 years old).
What the job entails: If hired, you would pick the children up from school, walk them to their family’s home, and oversee them until 6 PM. You would give the children a snack and oversee their homework before engaging them in an activity (e.g.science experiment, math game, music, or Spanish topic). Children may also have free play and other activities
Transportation: Children may be walked or driven home. Candler Park (30307), from Mary Lin Elementary to family’s home 0.6 miles away near Little Five Points. You must provide your own transportation.
Compensation: $55/afternoon (~$15.7/hour)
