NBC Communications Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative duties for SVP including calendar, phone and travel
  • Manage logistics for regular team meetings and trainings
  • Submit monthly expenses and invoices for department
  • Maintain NBC News’ press materials, including bios, headshots and press lists
  • Monitor NBC News media relations inbox and PR hotline, distribute requests appropriately
  • Create daily press clip reports and roundups
  • Assist in pitching NBC News content

Qualifications/Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Prior experience interacting with professionals at all levels of management both internally and externally

Desired Characteristics

• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle high levels of confidentiality
• Strong interest in media, news and current events is preferred
