The Multicultural Sci-fi Organization (MCSFO)

is seeking unpaid interns in exchange for for credit hours.

This is a quickly growing organization that is expected to begin profiting enough

to pay employees in the near future. These are excellent opportunities to build your

experience and portfolio and to be on the ground floor of an organization that will

require a more permanent workforce soon — while earning LMC 4904 credit!

Graphic Designer & Illustrator

The Multicultural Sci-fi Organization – Atlanta, GA

DO YOU LOVE DRAWING NEW SCI-FI ILLUSTRATIONS OR

CREATING & MANIPULATING IMAGES AND LOGOS?

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A COOL BUT VALUABLE INTERNSHIP?

We are the Multicultural Sci-fi Organization (MCSFO) – we promote, discuss and

educate through the medium of science fiction and technology with a unique

international perspective. Last month MCSFO worked with IMAX, HBO and GA TECH

to bring the very successful, 2016 First Annual Atlanta Sci-fi Film Festival to GA Tech

Campus! This is a great opportunity to work us on several upcoming sci-fi related

events and projects, as well as the 2017 film festival.

We are looking for a talented graphic designer and Illustrator to create striking new sci-fi

images and promotional materials. The ideal candidates will be producing new

concepts to promote sci-fi movies, shows and events! They will work closely with lead

graphic designer and project manager to create event marketing collateral & materials –

design promotional packages.

Personality Type: Artist

GRAPHIC DESIGNER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in design software such as: Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator,

InDesign and Photoshop, Brochure Design

• Must be able to create designs with compositional balance and proper logo

placement

• Great time management skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and take direction

• Work affectively with a creative team as well as independently

• Ability to understand branding needs and translate concepts in a clear and

engaging visual message

ILLUSTRATOR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to draw, color and create concept sci-fi/ fantasy images & designs

• Proficient in design software such as: Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator,

InDesign and Photoshop, Brochure Design

• Experience Typography, with great attention to detail is a plus

• Great time management skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and take direction

• Work affectively with a creative team as well as independently

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Producing digital/ print collateral

• Online promotional designs for social media

• Deliver multiple (when possible) ideas for customer to choose

• Adheres to legal & company requirements relating to duplication, printing, fonts

and copyright images.

• Reviews proof and work with printers on production of printed material

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• Adheres to all company confidentiality requirements

Schedule & Credit Hours: 8-10 hrs per week for 15 weeks

Last month MCSFO worked with IMAX, HBO and GA TECH to bring the very successful, 2016

First Annual Atlanta Sci-fi Film Festival to GA Tech Campus! We are currently planning

several new sci-fi related events and creating a podcast show to help promote these events.

We are looking for 3 professional sci-fi (sf) enthusiasts with outgoing personalities to produce a

weekly sci-fi audio podcast! Each week you’ll be dissecting weekly sci-fi TV shows & films,

promoting new sf novels and comic books.

Podcast Co-Hosts – Under the direction of the creative director, the co-host & co-host will

discuss weekly sf shows, new and classic sf films and comics.

Personality Type: Extroverted Sci-fi Geek!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Speaks clearly, has great diction and enunciation

• Engage listeners with thought provoking discussions

• Articulate facts and thoughts clearly and concisely

• Excellent communication skills

• Self-Motivated

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeping up with current news related to entertainment in science fiction, fantasy, comics

and technology

• Research science fiction literature and relevant topics

• Site all sources of information

• Assist with planning weekly podcast format

Social Media Marketing Interns (2)

We are the Multicultural Sci-fi Organization (MCSFO) – we promote, discuss and

educate through the medium of science fiction and technology with a unique

international perspective. Last month MCSFO worked with IMAX, HBO and GA TECH

to bring the very successful, 2016 First Annual Atlanta Sci-fi Film Festival to GA Tech

Campus! This is a great opportunity to work us on several upcoming sci-fi related

events and projects, as well as the 2017 film festival.

We are looking for 2 outgoing tech-savvy Social Media Marketing Assistants to assist in

social media marketing goals in promoting sci-fi events and organizations objectives.

Personality Type: Extroverted

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Great time management skills

• Work affectively in a team as well as independently

• Takes direction well

• Exceptional communication skills

• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

• Understanding of SEO

• Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to effectively manage time and

resources

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain MCSFO’s social media presence on Facebook and Twitter by posting

content and responding to all post comments

• Creating & posting podcast show notes on social media

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• Adheres to all company confidentiality requirements

• Monitor science fiction & technology news
