Basic Functions
Gain experience in media communications and culture at MARTA, the nation’s ninth largest transit system in Atlanta, Ga. The accepted spring semester intern will have the distinct occasion to assist in shaping the agency’s communications agenda.

Day-to-day tasks may vary depending on the workload:

·         Provide administrative support for the development of MARTA weekly internal publication of the Five Points.

·         Track and monitor all forms of media

·         Prepare daily MARTA and transit related news stories for electronic distribution

·         Interview employees for newsletter stories

·         Communicate and schedule appointments

·         Write press releases and other material

·         Provide photography assistances

·         Develop written communications
