Accomplished Digital History scholar, Mark Souther, is coming to Georgia Tech to give a lecture on April 8, called “Mobilizing History: Reflections on a Decade of Digital Humanities Practice on Two Continents.” He recently developed a history-pin app at Cleveland State’s Center for Public History called “Curatescape,” that is being used by in places and for projects including one in Kenya and will be discussing the development during his lecture.
A Master Class in using his app in DILAC Lab for about 12-15 participants will be offered by Mark and would include an app tutorial (which builds off Omeka). Participants would get credentials to use the app in producing sample content which could be showcased at the lecture. Class participants would be expected to attend Mark’s lecture that afternoon, with a reception following.
