LMC and the GT Library will be hosting an event on “Science, Fiction, and Popular Understandings of Outer Space” at the Atlanta Science Festival this year. You can find details below or check out the event listing here.

The Atlanta Science Festival brings together scientists and science fiction authors from across Georgia to explore how science and art influence each other, especially in terms of popular understandings of outer space. Our guests include award-winning science fiction author Jack McDevitt, Georgia Tech astrobiologist Dr. Kennda Lynch, Emory physicist and popular science writer Dr. Sidney Perkowitz, and LMC’s own young adult science fiction and fantasy writer Casey Alane Wilson.

The event will be held in the Georgia Center for the Book at the DeKalb County Public Library located on 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur, 30030 on Wednesday, March 13, 7-8:30 pm. Admission is free with an advance ticket.
