Volunteer/Internship Positions Available
Field Organizers: this role oversees messaging through direct voter contact. Their primary responsibilities include recruiting/organizing volunteers for door knocking and phone banking and tracking canvass data. Organizers need to be highly organized, energetic, and capable of motivating and managing volunteers.
Campaign assistant/Canvasser: this volunteer position will implement the “on the ground” outreach efforts in support of the campaign. He/she will work in groups to canvass designated neighborhoods or make phone calls through a phone bank. The campaign assistant will directly contribute to increasing public support for the Brown Campaign.
Time Commitment: minimum of 4 hours/wk until March 19th; applicants should have a flexible schedule, which can include but not limited to, regular business hours, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications for positions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and enjoys meeting new people
- Bilingualism an asset
- No previous experience is needed – those with an interest in community organizing, politics, or education are encouraged to apply
